Using an iPhone™ with Your Bose® SoundDock® System

Dock insert
You received three inserts with your SoundDock® system: A, B and C. We recommend using insert A when docking an iPhone.

iPhone operation when docked
Each time you dock your iPhone, it will display a pop-up box asking if you'd like to select Airplane Mode.
  • Selecting Airplane Mode means the iPhone cannot receive calls or access anything requiring an Internet connection. All iPod functionality will work

  • Not selecting Airplane Mode means all iPhone features will function normally. If there's an incoming call while you're listening to the iPod, the iPhone will pause the music so you can hear the phone ring. A pop-up will ask you to "Decline" or "Answer" the call. If you decline, iPhone will return to your iPod music

  • If you experience any audio interference while playing music, set the iPhone to Airplane Mode
SoundDock system remote
All buttons on the SoundDock system remote work with the iPhone as usual, except for the Off button. Since powering down the iPhone requires you to simultaneously press two buttons, the Off button on the remote will activate Play/Pause instead.

Charging your iPhone
Your iPhone will charge whenever docked.
